Antoinette Montague
Born and raised in Newark, Antoinette Montague may have just released her first CD, “Pretty Blues” but she has had many invaluable musical experiences. She worked in gospel and r&b ensembles after college, serves as the vice president of the International Women in Jazz, and considers Carrie Smith, Etta Jones, Della Griffin and Myrna Lake to be her mentors. Antoinette has worked extensively in the New York area during the past decade with such musicians as Bill Easley, Norman Simmons, Winard Harper, Wycliffe Gordon, Frank Wess, the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Mike Longo’s New York State of the Arts Orchestra and Lou Donaldson has introduced her to many of his audiences.
She has appeared on the cover of Jazz Improv’s Jazz Guide, and has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, and many Jazz Societies.
Antoinette is on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of America, Better Business Bureau, The Jazz Committee of St Peters Church, International Women in Jazz, and the Women In Jazz Festival.
She gives a great, fun filled performance of great Blues, Ballads and surprise tunes you will love to hear.
“She has a powerful voice, the ability to hold long notes without wavering, and a knack for making every song sound bluesy. Antoinette Montague’s delivery is heartfelt, infectious and memorable.” — Scott Yanow, “Los Angeles Jazz Scene”
Recording and releasing “Pretty Blues” on the Consolidated Artists label raised her profile and has given her fame beyond the East Coast. On this highly enjoyable CD, Antoinette Montague is featured belting out blues, interpreting sensitive ballads, combining passion and sophistication, and making every song sound fresh, infectious and topical.

Warrant performs at Rocklahoma Festival
Multi-platinum selling rock band WARRANT, best known for classic MTV staples’ “Cherry Pie,” “Heaven,” and rock anthem “The Down Boys” will perform at the 2008 Rocklahoma Festival - marking the reunion of its original line-up including Jani Lane (vocals); Joey Allen (lead guitar); Jerry Dixon (bass); Erik Turner (Guitar) and Steven Sweet (drums) — for the first time in 14 years. Eddie Trunk, host of XM’s The Boneyard andVH1 Classic made the announcement at a recent press conference at The Whisky.
Rocklahoma is a popular four-day music festival taking place July 10-13 in Pryor, OK, which attracts an impressive worldwide audience and big ticket sales. More than 80 bands will be performing on three giant stages with an expected attendance of more than 60,000 rock fans from all 50 states, every Province in Canada and every country in Europe. This phenomenon was covered in Rolling Stone’s year-end issue with an in-depth seven page spread.
Comments Warrant: “We are stoked to be back together after 14 years! The best part will be playing live again for all the fans that never got to experience the originalWarrant party band from Hollywood, CA! We also can’t wait to play for all the fans who have waited so long for this reunion. Cheers - and here we go again!
Warrant will join Cinderella this summer in July immediately following Rocklahoma and also plan to release a live performance DVD later this summer. An intimate Sunset Strip club date is also expected to take place this year for loyal fans. It’s been nearly 20 years and eight albums later, but the buzz surrounding Warrant remains. The band has seen many changes since their first taste of success in the late 80s/early 90s, but have always remained a key cog in the ever-changing rock landscape. Warrant has endured death, record label turnover, the loss of band members and close friends, but these hardships have only added fuel to their fire. Warrant is back.
Rocklahoma is the world’s largest rock festival of its type featuring notable bands from the 80’s and early 90’s. Additional acts confirmed for the festival include LA Guns, Enuf Z Nuff, Beautiful Creatures, Night Ranger, XYZ, Pretty Boy Floyd, Vain, Lynch Mob, Bret Michaels, House of Lords, Jet Boy, Triumph, Kingdom Come and Tesla among others.
